Meet the Russell Group is designed to support students in years 11 - 13, and the parents, guardians, teachers and careers advisors who assist them with their applications. It is completely free of charge. The event will allow Year 12 students to explore and compare universities they may apply to. Meet the Russell Group will also support any undecided Year 13s as they make final decisions about where they would like to study in 2022, and the courses they may be interested in. Year 11 students are welcome to join if they are interested in exploring their future options too. A webinar is a video which features a Russell Group university representative talking about a topic such as how to perfect your application, university life, or studying in different areas of the UK. Our webinars will be taking place in the Auditorium, and they will be 25 minutes long. During the webinar, the representative will talk you through the topic and tell you a little more about their university. If you watch the webinar live, you will have the chance to ask questions in the chat. All our webinars will be recorded, so if you miss one you can view the recording in the Auditorium later on too, but you will be unable to ask questions.
You do not need to book our webinars to view them. You can view them live in the auditorium on Wednesday 27 April or watch the recorded versions until Friday 27 May.
You can ask questions in the chat during the live webinar, and a representative for the Russell Group university will try to answer your question. You can only ask questions during the 25 minutes the webinar is live, so if you are viewing a recorded webinar you will not be able to ask questions, only watch the video.
A webcam is not required at any point during the event. The webinars in the Auditorium are one-way, so you do not need a webcam or a microphone to view these.
